The Impact Shield is a robust bait clip which holds a baited hook securely in position on the rig during the cast.

When the Impact Shield hits the sea it slides to release the baited hook from the vee form.

A stopper crimp or knot is fitted above with a small bead to separate.

When the shield slides up it rotates against the bead, ejecting the hook.

Ideal for distance rigs and pulley rigs.
